Friday at Royal Ascot saw some brilliant performances with Perfect Power winning the Commonwealth Cup and Inspiral romping to an impressive victory in the Coronation Stakes.
Latin Lover was a poignant first Royal Ascot winner for Harry Eustace in the closing Palace of Holyroodhouse Stakes, a win made all the more special by the fact the colt was ridden to victory by Eustace’s partner Hayley Turner.
It was a performance and story that won the World Pool Moment of the Day, with Latin Lover’s groom Naseem Khan collecting the bottle of champagne and £1,000 prize.
He said: “This was my first Royal Ascot lead out, my first winner and a first for my boss Harry Eustace…this is incredible.
“To have a winner at a big meeting like Royal Ascot, I’m very surprised. I’m speechless!”
Naseem along with the Harry Eustace team will also now be entered into the draw for the £34,000 World Pool Moment of the Year.
A “speechless” Naseem Khan, groom of Palace of Holyroodhouse winner LATIN LOVER, receives the World Pool Moment of the Day prize.
