Content added the G1 Yorkshire Oaks to Ballydoyle’s Ebor Festival tally on Day 2 and was a leading contender for the £4,000 World Pool Moment of the Day prize.

However, the day’s widest margin winner, SCENIC, couldn’t have been more impressive in the Listed Galtres Stakes and brought up a memorable double on the day for trainer Ed Walker.

“Days don’t really get much better than this,” Walker said after the race, and Assistant Travelling Head Girl Demi Jordan was delighted when she found out the team had won the £4,000 prize: “It means an awful lot for the stable,” said Jordan, who also had to give a special mention to another member of staff:

Scenic had only won once in 13 starts but Jordan was still confident in the filly’s chances:

“I thought she had a nice chance. It’s a long drive to York, so I don’t think we would have travelled if we didn’t think she would run well.”

Scenic will now be in the running to win the World Pool Moment of the Year prize, which offers a VIP trip to Hong Kong for four people.
